                                                Jackie Paris continued.

 

The  Jesters, and started out by performing for the inmates at Bellevue  mental home which provided rehearsal space and the ever important Piano.. Jackie Paris was not jesting and before  leaving St. Andrew Technical, he joined Lloyd Williams and the Blue Flames and then returned to join Harold Davis and Cornel Campbell in the Sensations and on the Byron Lees World Label they made their first hit single titled  “ Born To Love You”. This was followed by some memorable hits of the late sixties and early seventies, such as “ Those Guys” .. “ Everyday will be like a Holiday” .. “Where were you” and many others that read like the calendar of the era.

 

Paris then moved on to become a Drummer and spent many years on the road touring with Dave and Ansel Collins , Jimmy Cliff and Oneness and  Grey  Hound, yes remember him. The white Guy who did the very black song, “The ink is Black, the page is white, together we must learn to all unite..” 

 

Paris then returned to Jamaica in 1974 and got back  to his old craft and crafted out the monster hit “ Run for your life” with the Techniques label and Jackie Paris is here on the Drumilly Label with some of his best work to date.  “Wonderful World”, .. My Way,  Rambling Rose, .. Answer Me” and many more .
